Centurion Bank of Punjab - Record Date

Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd had informed regarding the approval of the Reserve Bank of India for the Scheme of Amalgamation of Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd with HDFC Bank Ltd with effect from May 23, 2008.

The Bank has further informed to BSE that, June 16, 2008 has been fixed as Record Date for the purpose of determining the eligible shareholders of Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd to whom equity shares of HDFC Bank Ltd will be allotted as per the Scheme.

In terms of the Scheme, HDFC Bank Ltd will allot the equity shares of face value of Rs 10/- each to the eligible shareholders of Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd in the ratio of 1 (one) equity share of Rs 10/- each of HDFC Bank Ltd for every 29 (twenty nine) equity shares of Re 1/- each held by them in Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd on the Record Date.
