Suryadeep Salt - Outcome of Board Meeting

Suryadeep Salt Refinery & Chemicals Works Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on June 12, 2009, inter alia, has transacted the following:

1. The Board of Directors approved the Change of the name of the Company from SURYADEEP SALT REFINERY AND CHEMICALS WORKS LTD To SUN SALT AND CHEMICALS LTD, or such other name as may be approved by the Registrar of Companies, subject to the approval of the shareholders to be sought by a resolution to be passed by Postal Ballot.

2. The Board of Directors has decided to send notice of Postal Ballot to members pursuant to Section 192A of the Companies Act, 1956 read with the Companies (Passing of Resolutions by Postal Ballot) Rules, 2001 to seek the approval for Change the name of the Company from SURYADEEP SALT REFINERY AND CHEMICALS WORKS LTD To SUN SALT AND CHEMICALS LTD.
