GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals - Change in Directorate

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd has informed BSE about the following changes in the Directorate with effect from July 27, 2009:

1. Mr. D Sundaram has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director in the casual vacancy caused by the resignation of Dr. Mark Reilly.

2. Mr. Ajit Nimbalkar has been appointed as an Additional Independent Non-Executive Director.

3. Mr. Peter Bains has resigned as a Director of the Company.
