Birla Power Solutions Ltd has informed BSE that Mr. Upkar Singh Kohli whose term has ended August 08, 2009, under Section 260 of the Companies Act, 1956 (being the date of Annual General Meeting) has been appointed as an Independent Director of the Company with effect from September 09, 2009, by way of circular resolution.
