Aditya Birla Chemicals (India) Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on July 22, 2009, inter alia, has, subject to approval of Shareholders, Financial Institutions & other concerned authorities, as required and pursuant to the provisions of section(s) 198, 269, 309, 310 read with Schedule XIII and other applicable provisions, if any, of the Companies Act, 1956 and the relevant provisions of the Articles of Association of the Company, re-appointed Shri Shyam Sundar Gupta (Shri Gupta) as Managing Director of the Company w.e.f. October 24, 2009 for a period of 2 (two) years.
