JSW Steel announces Q2 results

JSW Steel Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2009:

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 4515.40 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 3174.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. Total Income has increased from Rs 43117.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 to Rs 45805.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.

The Unaudited Consolidated Results are as follows

The Group has posted a net profit after tax after share of Profit / (Loss) of Minority and Share of profits of Associates of Rs 3227.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 2524.40 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. Total Income has increased from Rs 46868.10 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 to Rs 47578.00 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.
