Idea Cellular announces Audited FY 09 results

Idea Cellular Ltd has announced the following Audited results for the year ended March 31, 2009:

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 10012.10 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 10443.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2008. Total Income is Rs 98786.60 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 67374.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2008.

The Group has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 8815.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 10423.10 million for the year ended March 31, 2008. Total Income is Rs 101543.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 67374.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2008.

The consolidated financial results for the current financial year include the proportionate figures of Spice for part of the year which was acquired during this year. Accordingly, the figures of the current year are not comparable to those of the previous year.
