Jain Irrigation announces Q2 results

Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2009:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 425.60 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 245.00 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. Total Income is Rs 5627.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 4759.90 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

The Company has from the current year provided tax on quarterly basis as against the earlier practice of providing the same at the year end, hence the results are not strictly comparable.
