Mahindra & Mahindra announces Q2 results

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2009:

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 7029.40 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 2466.60 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. Total Income is Rs 46910.80 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 where as the same was at Rs 34714.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

The results for the previous years quarter and half year ending September 30, 2008 have been restated to incorporate the figures of the Company's erstwhile subsidiary Punjab Tractors Ltd. which merged with the Company effective, August 01, 2008 on February 16, 2008. Since the previous years quarter and half year ended September 30, 2008 include only tie results for August and September 2008, they are not comparable with current years quarter end half yearly results.
