Sun Pharmaceutical - Correction for Q2 Consolidated Unaudited Financial Results

With reference to earlier annoucement dated October 28, 2009 regarding Q2 results, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd has now informed BSE that by an inadvertent error, the COmpany have sent a wrong copy of Second Quarter Unaudited Consolidated, Financial Results.

The Company has now submitted to BSE the correct copy of Second Quarter Unaudited Consolidated Financial Results.

The Company has further informed that under the correct copy attached here with, there is no change either in profit number or total expenditure number. Under the row for the Purchase of Traded Goods for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 instead of amount of Rs. 1991 an incorrect amount of Rs. 4399 was mentioned and for the half year ended instead of the amount of Rs. 4399, the incorrect amount of Rs. 1991 was mentioned (amounts were interchanged) and resultantly numbers under the row Consumption of Materials were also mentioned incorrectly to the extent of differences of both above numbers amounting to Rs. 2408 [4399 - 1991] i.e. Consumption of Materials shall be Rs. 26003 (23595 + 2408) instead of Rs. 23595 for quarter ended September 30, 2009 and Consumption of Materials shall be Rs. 58079 (Rs 60487 - 2408) instead of Rs. 60487 for the half year ended September 30, 2009.
