RPG Cables - Board Meeting on Oct 30, 2009

RPG Cables Ltd has informed BSE that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on October 30, 2009, inter alia, to take on record the Un-audited Financial Results (Provisional) for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 & also to consider a Scheme of Amalgamation under Sections 391 to 394 of the Companies Act, 1956 envisaging amalgamation of the Company with the KEC International Ltd.

KEC, operates in Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) business in power transmission, distribution, substations, telecom and railway electrification sectors.

The scheme, if approved by the Board of Directors of the Company and KEC, would be subject to approval by the members and creditors of the respective Companies, sanction by the relevant High Courts and such other approvals as may be required.
