| Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd has announced the following results for the quarter ended December 31, 2013:<br/><br/>The Unaudited results for the Quarter ended December 31, 2013<br/><br/>The Company has posted a net profit of Rs. 1038.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2013 where as the same was at Rs. 851.30 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2012. Total Income is Rs. 22311.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2013 where as the same was at Rs. 27474.50 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.<br/><br/>The Consolidated Results are as follows :<br/><br/>The Unaudited results for the Quarter ended December 31, 2013<br/><br/>The Group has posted a net profit after taxes and minority interest of Rs. 3452.70 million for the Quarter ended December 31, 2013 where as the same was at Rs. 3094.50 million for the Quarter ended December 31, 2012. Total Income is Rs. 66173.30 million for the Quarter ended December 31, 2013 where as the same was at Rs. 68283.70 million for the Quarter ended December 31, 2012.<br/><br/>- In accordance with approval given by the shareholders, the Company has accounted for slump sale of Carbon Black business with effect from April 01, 2013 on a going concern basis to SKI Carbon Black (India) Private Limited pursuant to Business Transfer Agreement entered into with them and accordingly a gain of Rs. 2,406 Lakhs on the said slump sale has been recognised as an exceptional item and a net tax credit of Rs. 4,070 Lakhs (including reversal of deferred tax credit) has been netted off with current period tax expense. The results for the current reporting period do not include the results of Carbon Black business and hence are not strictly comparable with the previous periods reported above. | |
