The Exchange had sought clarification from Bharti Airtel Ltd with respect to news appearing in Business Standard on January 15, 2015 titled "Airtel may have to pay Rs 436 Crs for merger."<BR><BR>Bharti Airtel Ltd replied stating that :<BR><BR>"At the outset we wish to inform you that the Company has not received any order demanding Rs. 436 Cr. from Department of Telecom.<BR><BR>The Company, as a matter of policy, does not wish to comment on the present speculative news items and if required, will make necessary disclosures at an appropriate time."
