| The Exchange had sought clarification from Bharti Airtel Ltd <BR>with respect to news article appearing in Business Standard on May 29, 2015 titled "Vodafone pares Airtel holding"<BR> <BR>Bharti Airtel Ltd <BR>replied stating "Vodafone Mauritius Limited, a Vodafone Group Company has sold 12.18 Lacs equity shares representing 26.74% of paid-up share capital of Bharti Infotel Private Limited (equivalent to 4.2% economic interest in Bharti Airtel Limited) to Bharti Enterprises (Holding) Private Limited at a consideration of Rs. 1280 crores.<BR> <BR>The enclosed news item appearing in the Business Standard gives an impression as if shares of Bharti Airtel were involved, which is not the case, as already explained above.<BR> <BR>The Company further confirm that it has not released any formal press release in this regard." | |
