| The Exchange had sought clarification from Bhushan Steel Ltd with respect to news article appearing in Financial Express on June 10, 2015 titled "2 Bhushan Steel VPs held guilty"<BR> <BR>Bhushan Steel Ltd replied stating "We have to submit our clarification as under : On 09.06.2015, seven (7) cases were listed for hearing before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dhenkanal under the Factories Act, 1948. These cases were taken up on application(s) as were moved by the concerned officials before the Hon'ble Court. The Court after hearing the parties has been pleased to dispose off these seven (7) matters with a direction to pay fine of Rs. 1 Lakh for each of the officials in each case and on failure to do so, to undergo imprisonment of one (1) year. <BR> <BR>Please note that the fines as directed by the Hon'ble Court have been deposited and consequently the matters stand closed." | |
