Canara Bank has informed BSE that consequent to passing of the Special Resolution by the shareholders at the EGM of the Bank held on April 30, 2015 for issue and allotment of 4,00,00,000 equity shares to the Life Insurance Corporation of India / or Schemes of LIC on preferential basis and receipt of funds from Life Insurance Corporation of India, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, as per the authority delegated by the Board of Directors to him, has allotted 4,00,00,000 Fully Paid-up Equity Shares on May 12, 2015 to Life Insurance Corporation of India / Schemes of LIC on Preferential Basis.
