| Corporation Bank has informed BSE that in exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980 read with sub-clause (1) of clause 3, clause 6 and sub-clause (1) of clause 8 of The Nationalized Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1980, vide gazette notification dated November 02, 2015, the Central Government after consultation with Reserve Bank of India appointed Shri Jai Kumar Garg, Executive Director, UCO Bank as Managing Director & CEO of the Corporation Bank for a period of three years from the date; of taking over charge of the post on or after February 01, 2016 or till the date of his supperannuation or till further; orders, whichever is earliest.<BR><BR>Accordingly, Shri Jai Kumar Garg has assumed office as Managing Director & CEO of the Bank on February 01, 2016. | |
