| The Exchange has sought clarification from Emami Ltd with respect to the news article in Mint dated December 17, 2014 stating "Emami ties up with German Firm" <BR> <BR>Emami Ltd was requested to submit its clarification with respect to consideration involved in the said agreement to the Exchange in terms of Clause 36 of the Listing Agreement.<BR> <BR>Emami Ltd replied stating "the Company has not entered into the above arrangement and we are clarifying the above as under:<BR><BR>M/S. M. Bhattacharya & Co Pvt Ltd alongwith M/S. King & Company (Homoeo Chemist) Pvt Ltd, both the Emami Group Companies engaged in the business of Homeopathy Medicines has entered into the strategic technical joint venture with German homoeopathic giant Hevert- Arzneimittel GmbH & Co.KG, Germany in the area of Distribution & Marketing, GMP Consultancy and Licence for manufacturing select Revert formulations in India.<BR><BR>As Emami Ltd was not the part of the above agreement, it was not obligatory on the Company to intimate the exchange under clause 36 of the Listing Agreement." | |
