| Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on November 14, 2014, inter alia, has transacted the following :<br/><br/>The Board has appointed Mrs. Rita Bhagwati and Mr. Farrokh Kavarana as Independent Directors of the Company with etfect from November 14, 2014.<br/><br/>Mrs. Rita Bhagwati is an economist having wide experience. She has worked with Reserve Bank of India, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and World Bank.<br/><br/>Mr. Farrokh Kavarana is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has been on the board of Tata Group companies.<br/><br/>In line with its decision of August 12, 2014, the Board has also appointed of Mr G. Shivakumar as Executive Director of the Company with effect from November 14, 2014.<br/><br/>Mrs. Asha Sheth, who has been on the Board of the Company since 1992, has resigned with effect from November 17, 2014. | |
