Further to the Company's letter dated October 14, 2014 with respect to HPCL's Visakh Refinery, the Company has provided updates in the matter vide its letter dated November 5, 2014.<br/><br/>Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd has inter-alia stated that "HPCL Vizag Refinery has become fully functional by 24th-26th October with about 90% throughput.<br/><br/>The repair works on cooling Tower cells which were damaged during cyclone are addressed on war footing basis in a sequence of temporary first followed by permanent repairs. The temporary works on tower cells enabled cooling water utility restoration to the minimum required there by maximizing primary unit throughputs.<br/><br/>With the part restoration of cooling towers by temporary repairs, through all refinery units are fully functional and the refinery Primary units throughput can be restored to 100%, but the limitation of cooling towers vis-a-vis limitation in secondary and treating units by about 5 to 10% is limiting utilization of corresponding 100% crude processing capacity.<br/><br/>The repair works on cooling towers on permanent basis would be completed by early December 2014 and thereafter Visakh refinery will be targeting 100% crude processing on sustainable basis".
