The Exchange had sought clarification from Hindustan Zinc Ltd with respect to a media report in a Financial daily about "Sesa Sterlite likely to merge Hindustan Zinc with itself".<br/><br/>Hindustan Zinc Ltd has clarified to BSE as under:<br/><br/>"there is no such proposal before the Board of Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), for merger of HZL with Sesa Sterlite Ltd, and that media reports appears to be speculation by individuals."
