| With reference to earlier announcement dated May 13, 2014 informing the date of the Eighth Annual General Meeting of the Bank and the business to be transacted at the Meeting, including the election of Shareholder Directors of the Bank. In response to the Notice dated May 23, 2014 for the Annual General Meeting to the shareholders, the Bank received nominations from four candidates to contest for election as Shareholder Director on the Board of the Bank, Indian Bank <br/>has now informed BSE that after following the guidelines, the nominations of the following two candidates were found to be valid for two vacancies for Shareholder Directors.<br/><br/>1. Shri Vinod Kumar Nagar<br/><br/>2. Shri Sriram Ramachandran.<br/><br/>Since the number of valid candidates is the same as the number of vacancies, the above said candidates are deemed to have been elected as Shareholder Directors of the Bank, as per Regulation 58(i) of the Indian Bank (Shares and Meetings) Regulations, 1999 and shall assume office with effect from July 01, 2014 and shall hold office for a period of three years upto June 30, 2017.<br/><br/>Consequently, the Agenda Item No.3 of the Eighth Annual General Meeting of the Bonk pertaining to Election of Shareholder Directors will not be transacted at the meeting. | |
