Jaiprakash Associates Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on September 27, 2014, inter alia, have transacted the following;<br/><br/>1. Noted the resignation of Shri V. K. Chopra as an Independent Director of the Company w.e.f. September 16, 2014 due to his ill health.<br/><br/>2. Accepted the resignation of Dr. B. Samal as an Independent Director of the Company w.e.f. September 30, 2014, due to limitation on number of companies of which he is eligible to be appointed as an Independent Director in terms of Clause 49 of the Listing Agreement.<br/><br/>3. Appointed S/Shri K. P. Rau, SCK Patne and C. P. Jain as Independent Directors with effect from September 27, 2014.
