Jaiprakash Associates Ltd has informed BSE that in the matter of Director, Supplies & Disposals, Haryana vs Shree Cement Limited & Ors., Honble Competition Commission of India has uploaded on its website an order under Section 27 on January 19, 2017 evening upon a reference filed by State of Haryana alleging cement cartelization. The order inter-alia directs the Opposite Parties to cease and desist from indulging in the acts/ conduct which have been found to be in contravention of the provisions of the Competition Act, 2002 and has imposed a penalty of Rs. 38.02 crore on the Company at the rate of 0.3% of average turnover of the last three financial years.<BR><BR>The Company is in the process of examining the Order and will decide the appropriate action to be taken in due course.
