Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd has informed BSE that:<BR><BR>"As you are kindly aware, the Honble Supreme Court of India had cancelled various coal blocks including the Amelia (North) Coal Block and ordered auction of the same.<BR><BR>The Company is participating in e-Auction of coal blocks conducted by the Nominated Authority of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India and had submitted Bid of Rs. 712 per MT (initially reverse, then forward). As per the website of the MSTC Limited, the Companys bid for Amelia (North) Coal Block was successful.<BR><BR>However, a formal communication vesting the said Coal Block in our favour is expected in due course of time."
