Reply to Clarification sought by NSE on disclosure made by the company on 02.11.2017 regarding shutdown of Unit#6 (500 MW) of Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Station. <BR> 1. Estimated impact on the production/operations:<BR> Reply: Considering the total size of operations of NTPC Limited (present standalone commercial capacity 43642 MW and group commercial capacity 50858 MW) the impact of shutdown of Unchahar Unit#6 (500 MW) on the production/operations of the company as a whole may not be considered material in terms of Para B of Part A of Schedule III of SEBI (LODR),Regulations,2015.<BR> 2. Whether loss/damage covered by insurance or not including amount;<BR> Reply: Yes, property damage is covered under the Mega Risk Policy taken for the assets of the company.<BR> 3.Expected loss/damage caused;<BR> Reply: Pending enquiry and investigations by a committee constituted for this purpose, it would not be possible to provide any estimate of the likely loss or damage caused at this stage.
