| The Exchange had sought clarification from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd with respect to news article appearing in Mint on June 3, 2015 titled "ONGC, Petrobras strike oil off Brazil"<BR> <BR>Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd replied stating "The press release of Petrobras dated 1st June, 2015 indicates that a new well 3-SES-189 (PETROBRAS nomenclature), located in the Poco Verde PAD area of the BM-SEAL 4 concession area has discovered new oil accumulations. <BR><BR>Based on techno-economic evaluation, ONGC Videsh had assigned its rights in Poco-Verde area to Petrobras on 3rd September 2014 and the process for notification of the partial withdrawal to the regulator is currently in progress. Hence, the news item is not relevant to ONGC and ONGC Videsh." | |
