Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd ("ONGC") has informed BSE that the Company has received the disclosure from Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas under regulation 13(3) of SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading ) Regulations 1992 regarding change of shareholding in respect of promoter holding more than 5% shares in ONGC.<br/><br/>As per disclosure received from President of India (PoI) acting through Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India on March 05, 2012, PoI has sold 420,416,170 number of equity shares (4.91% shares) in ONGC, on March 01, 2012 through the offer for sale through Stock Exchange Mechanism pursuant to SEBI Circular number dated February 23, 2012.
