| The Exchange had sought clarification from Piramal Enterprises Ltd with respect to the media report titled "Piramal Leads Race for 3 Ramky Highway Projects" appearing in The Economic Times on September 17, 2014.<br/><br/>Piramal Enterprises Ltd replied as under:<br/><br/>"we would like to state that the Company from time to time explores various investment opportunities as part of its structured investment business, in the normal course of its business. Not all of these result in definitive actions, and may or may not necessarily result into transactions. Hence, any comment by us on speculative reports, without any disclosable event having taken place, could potentially impact our shareholders and stock price.<br/><br/>As a matter of policy and in the interest of our shareholders, we do not comment on any speculative reports and news. Should any potential strategic initiatives reach a definitive stage, or there be a disclosable event, we will, of course, promptly make the necessary disclosures as required at the appropriate time." | |
