Punjab National Bank has informed BSE that the Govt. of India has decided to infuse capital funds to the tune of Rs. 870 crore (Eight hundred and seventy crore) in the Bank by way of preferential allotment of equity in favour of the Government of India by way of re-capitalisation for the year 2014-15.<BR><BR>The bank has initiated all the necessary steps for approvals in this regard.
