Shalimar Paints Ltd has informed BSE that a fire broke at the Company's Howrah plant early morning on March 12, 2014.<br/><br/>The Company's staff immediately took steps to control it and also the local fire service department was informed accordingly.<br/><br/>With the collective efforts of the Fire Brigade and the Company's staff, the fire has been brought under control and there are no major injuries or any causality reported.<br/><br/>There has been damage to the plant, machinery and the inventory however the same are adequately covered under insurance.<br/><br/>The reasons of the fire are being determined.
