| Surya Pharmaceutical Ltd has informed BSE that Mr. Dharam Pal Singhal, an Independent Director of the Company, resigned from the said office on June 15, 2013. The resignation of Mr. Dharam Pal Singhal was consequent to the resignations of Mr. Shiv Kumar Yadav (Independent Director) with effect from May 25, 2013 and Mr. Subhash Chander Marwaha (Nominee Director of SBI) with effect from May 29, 2013.<br/><br/>As a result of the resignation of Mr. Dharam Pal Singhal, the total strength of the Board of Directors of the Company has reduced to two, which is less than the minimum number of Directors statutorily required for a public limited Company.<br/><br/>The Board of Directors are making efforts to appoint a new person as a Director of the Company, which act is likely to take time as persons are unwilling to he appointed to office of Director of the Company due to actions initiated by certain creditors against the Company for winding up of the Company. | |
