| Suryachakra Power Corporation Ltd has informed BSE about an order passed by Appellate Tribunal for Electricity Order (APTEL) in IA No.278 of 2013 dt. January 16, 2014 of the Company which was uploaded by the concerned authorities on their website on January 17, 2014 in late hours, according to the said order, the Company has to receive Rs. 84.188 crores being Rs. 20.216 crores towards principal and Rs. 63.972 crores towards interest. The learned judges have pronounced their verdict that the respondents namely, Electricity Department, Chief Secretary, A and N Administration should release the 50% of the principal amount against Bank guarantee to avoid any public inconvenience for the islanders to carry out overhauling and purchase of spares to one DG Set which was shut down and posted the main appeal for hearing on January 29, 2014. Thus IA No.278 of 2013 was disposed of accordingly. | |
