| With reference to the news item appearing in the newspaper dated April 15, 2015 titled "Torrent eyes Encore Derma Biz for Rs. 350 Cr.", Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd has Clarified to BSE as under:<BR><BR>"The news item is speculative in nature and it is Companys policy not to respond to any such speculative news items.<BR><BR>Kindly note that Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited, does examine various opportunities for its growth, both organic and inorganic Accordingly, the Company has submitted a Non-Binding Bid for one of the companies of Encore Group, subject to various assumptions and conditions and is in discussions for crystallizing the proposal.<BR><BR>As a responsible listed organization, we do inform the exchanges of all information which is required to be disclosed, on timely basis, in terms of the Listing Agreement and will keep the exchange informed in future as well.<BR><BR>We are submitting the above mentioned details on account of the specific request from the Exchange However, you may kindly appreciate that any disclosure of such information, may hamper the business interests of the Company and accordingly, would request you to kindly not put up the Company response on the website or otherwise disclose the response<BR><BR>As such, we are not aware of any information that could have an impact on movement of the scrip." | |
