The Exchange had sought clarification from United Spirits Ltd with respect to news article appearing on CNBC TV18 on October 03, 2017 titled "Vijay Mallya Arrested in London"<BR><BR>United Spirits Ltd replied stating "Vijay Mallya ('VJM') was the former Chairman of United Spirits Limited (the Company) and he tendered his resignation to the position of Chairman and Director on February 25, 2016 and we duly informed the same to you pursuant to the requirements under the Listing Regulations. <BR><BR>Apart from knowing about the arrest from the media, we do not have any other information about VJM's arrest and hence, we cannot make any comments on his arrest. "
