Syngene oversubscribed 32 times on final day: Report

Biotechnology major Biocon's research arm Syngene International, which proposes to raise Rs 550 crore through IPO, was subscribed nearly 32 times on the final day of the offer on overwhelming response from both retail and institutional investors, PTI reported.

The public issue of share started on July 27 and closed on July 29.

The company is offering 2.2 crore shares in the price band of Rs 240-Rs 250 and plans to garner around Rs 550 crore at the higher end of the price band through this offer.

As per the information available with the exchanges, the IPO committee of the company finalised allocation of 60 lakh equity shares at a price of Rs 250 apiece to 13 anchor investors which include Monetary Authority of Singapore, Government of Singapore, Goldman Sachs India Fund Ltd, DB International (Asia) Ltd, ICICI Prudential Top 100 Fund.

The company Red Herring Prospectus filed by Syngene with the Registrar of Companies, Bangalore was approved on July 15, 2015.
