Copper Futures Rise on Higher Demand

Copper futures prices increased on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to higher spot demand and increased bets by participants.
New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) Copper prices on Monday rose 0.5 per cent to Rs 815 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in September traded higher Rs 4.05 or 0.5 per cent at Rs 815 per kg in a business turnover of 9,366 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
