Copper Futures Surge on Spot Demand - PTI

Copper futures prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand. Analysts cited increased bets by market participants as a factor.
New Delhi, Aug 30 (PTI) Copper prices on Friday rose 0.86 per cent to Rs 814.45 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in September traded higher Rs 6.95 or 0.86 per cent at Rs 814.45 per kg in a business turnover of 10,511 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
