Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Crude oil futures rose Rs 50 to Rs 5,771 per barrel on Monday, driven by firm spot demand. West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude also gained in global markets.
New Delhi, Sep 16 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Monday rose Rs 50 to Rs 5,771 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for October delivery traded higher Rs 50 or 0.87 per cent at Rs 5,771 per barrel in 11,869 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up by 0.83 per cent to USD 69.22 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.70 per cent higher at USD 72.11 per barrel in New York.
