Guar Gum Futures Plunge on Weak Demand - PTI

Guar gum futures declined on Wednesday, driven by weak demand in the spot market and ample supplies. Prices fell Rs 24 to Rs 10,744 per five quintals on the NCDEX.
New Delhi, May 8 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Wednesday dropped Rs 24 to Rs 10,744 per five quintals in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for May delivery fell Rs 24 or 0.22 per cent to Rs 10,744 per five quintals in 17,120 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
