Zinc futures prices declined on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to muted demand from consuming industries and speculators reducing their exposure.
New Delhi, May 31 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.85 per cent to Rs 269.20 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded lower Rs 2.30 or 0.85 per cent at Rs 269.20 per kg in 2,844 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
