Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Mar 4 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 2.15 to Rs 216.55 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded higher Rs 2.15 or 1 per cent at Rs 216.55 per kg with a business turnover of 4,447 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
