New Delhi, Oct 15 (PTI) Air India on Wednesday said it has retrofitted 26 of the 27 legacy narrow body A320 neo planes and will operate 174 additional weekly flights with single aisle aircraft during the winter schedule starting from October 26.

Apart from various domestic destinations, the airline will be enhancing the frequencies of flights from Delhi to Kuala Lumpur and Denpasar.

In a release, the airline said its retrofit programme for the legacy Airbus A320neo aircraft, launched in September 2024, is nearing completion this month.

"Of the 27 legacy A320neo aircraft, 26 have been retrofitted with brand-new cabin interiors featuring three classes: Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class. Combined with other modern single-aisle aircraft, Air India now operates over 100 A320 family aircraft," it said.

Air India had a fleet of 187 planes as of September 16.
