New Delhi, Mar 23 (PTI) Altos Computing, an Acer group company and a global provider of high-performance computing and AI infrastructure solutions, on Monday rolled out its Make-in-India AI server portfolio, and termed it a step toward strengthening India's sovereign AI and data centre ecosystem.

The launch reflects Altos' commitment to supporting India's goal of becoming a global hub for AI innovation and digital infrastructure, the company said in its release.

By manufacturing AI servers locally and enabling organisations to deploy powerful computing platforms within the country, Altos aims to address the growing demand for scalable AI infrastructure across sectors, including research, manufacturing, healthcare, and public services, according to the release.

Harish Kohli, President and Managing Director of Acer India, noted that the country is at the threshold of a transformative AI era that will have powerful computing infrastructure as backbone of innovation across industries.

"With the launch of Altos' Make-in-India AI server portfolio, we are taking an important step toward building this digital backbone locally. By bringing advanced AI infrastructure manufacturing closer to the Indian market, we are enabling faster deployment, improved accessibility, and greater scalability for enterprises, research institutions, and public sector organisations," Kohli added.
