Aluminium Futures Decline on Weak Demand

Aluminium prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to low demand from consuming industries. The metal for October delivery closed at Rs 228.35 per kg, down 0.54%.
New Delhi, Sep 23 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Monday declined Rs 1.25 to Rs 228.35 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in October fell Rs 1.25 or 0.54 per cent to Rs 228.35 per kg in 2,908 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
