Aluminium Futures Drop on Weak Demand - PTI
Aluminium prices fell in the futures market on Wednesday due to weak demand from consuming industries. Analysts attribute the decline to participants trimming positions.
New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Wednesday slipped 75 paise to Rs 246.60 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February fell 75 paise or 0.3 per cent to Rs 246.60 per kg in 3,027 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
