Aluminium Futures Drop on Weak Demand

Aluminium prices fell on Wednesday due to lower demand from consuming industries, according to analysts. The decline was seen on the Multi Commodity Exchange, where aluminium futures for October delivery fell Rs 1.75 or 0.74 per cent to Rs 233.70 per kg in 3,493 lots.
New Delhi, Sep 25 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Wednesday declined Rs 1.75 to Rs 233.70 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in October fell Rs 1.75 or 0.74 per cent to Rs 233.70 per kg in 3,493 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
