Aluminium Futures Drop on Weak Demand

Aluminium futures declined on Tuesday due to weak demand from consuming industries, leading to reduced positions by participants in the futures market.
New Delhi, Apr 15 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Tuesday declined 70 paise to Rs 233.90 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May fell 70 paise or 0.3 per cent to Rs 233.90 per kg in 2,292 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
