Aluminium Futures Fall: Demand Dips

Aluminium futures decline on MCX due to weak demand and trimmed positions. February delivery prices fall by Rs 2.85 to Rs 310.95/kg.
New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) Aluminium prices dropped by Rs 2.85 to Rs 310.95 per kg in the futures trade on Sunday as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend in spot markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February fell by Rs 2.85 or 0.58 per cent to Rs 310.95 per kg in 1875 lots.
Analysts said the cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
