Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Hike

Aluminium futures climb on fresh bets at MCX. September contract up 0.22% to Rs 254.60/kg. Demand from industries supports price rise.
New Delhi, Aug 8 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Friday rose 55 paise to Rs 254.60 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in September increased 55 paise or 0.22 per cent to Rs 254.60 per kg in 456 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
